Goodbye Leonard

Ah, the last time we saw you you looked so much older
Your famous blue raincoat was torn at the shoulder
You’d been to the station to meet every train
And you came home alone without Lili Marlene

And you treated my woman to a flake of your life
And when she came back she was nobody’s wife.

Except from “Famous Blue Raincoat” by Leonard Cohen

I was planning to follow-up on my post from yesterday, to give more reasons to go on.

But I’ve just learned of the passing of Leonard Cohen.

They are calling the saints home my friends. Can you hear the trumpets blow?

I feel my gratitude for the music, poetry and life he gave us. I feel my sadness in his passing.

Goodbye Mr. Cohen. We will miss the suit.
