With so much potential, January rolls into my consciousness full with aspiration and intention.
What I do this month sets the tone for the rest of the year. So now is the time to think and feel deeply into what’s next. Here are some questions before me:
- What do I want the most for me this year?
- What are my goals for work, play and life?
- Where would I like to see this blog take me?
A time to reflect…and a time to take action.
To help facilitate my process moving forward, I am using a concept called the Four A’s (Awareness, Acceptance, Aspiration and Action). The Four A’s are actionable steps that allow me to work through obstacles and setbacks which often stop us in our tracks. Here is how I use the Four A’s in my work:
Step One Awareness – stopping to notice what’s there before me (i.e. a challenge, a fear, an obstacle, etc.). Get to know the feelings and how they affects me.
Step Two: Acceptance – I embrace what comes up for me without judgement. This is a perfect time to silence that little voice in our respect heads that speaks to us from the ego.
Step Three: Aspiration – Now that I’ve accepted that I’m – fearful, worried, nervous, whatever is there – I look to my higher self for answers. This is a good space for meditation. This is the place where I ask for what I want.
Step Four: Action – This is where I push. I have processed my concerns and needs, now I engage my will and take action.
I move through each step intentionally as to “check-in” before moving on. There is no particular amount of time I need to spend at each step as long as I feel motivated to move forward. If I feel stuck, I start over from the beginning to see what I potentially missed. By moving through this process, in the order listed above, I find that process more satisfying and complete.
So what would you like to see different in your life? What are your goals, wants and concerns?
Now is the perfect time to manifest something new in your life. All you have to do is start.
Peace
